This project by Petra Švecová (1975) and Radka Bodzewicz (1991), designed specifically for the Church of St. Lawrence in Klatovy, explores the relationships and intersections between the status of this religious Baroque space and the definition of a place where life is born. In Inner Eden, the artists combine painting with installation to introduce a new dimension into the exhibition. The idea is to evoke and make present ontological experiences that raise questions relating to the contours of human existence, in which physical presence is mixed with its own substantiation and reasoning. It is as if the chosen natural materials have caused echoes of long-vanished rituals or latently present layers of human consciousness growing naturally out of nature to permeate the church interior. The cyclical is intertwined with the linear. The inner paradise of the title is above all an intimation of contexts that transcend us but that clearly are in some way materialized in the painting and the image
